Assets Inspection System

The Product:
The Asset Inspection System (AIS) perform vehicle specific asset inspections using Pocket PC devices. AIS consist of four main components:

AIS central database (Microsoft SQL server 2005) |

AIS server, this is a service that runs at the back end to pass information such as inspection notification requests and completed inspection data back and forth between AIS and the required client. AIS server is also responsible for collating information regarding defect and repeat defect information made available to the vehicle inspector during their inspections. |

AIS desktop management console, this application is used to manage the following: |

Type of assets (Such as Single or Double deck buses) |
| b. |
Information about each individual asset of each type for example, the registration number of bus number 20335 of type Single |
| c. |
The users of the system |
| d. |
The contents of each type of inspection to be carried out against the asset. For example an MOT inspection. |

AIS pocket PC application, this application is used by the vehicle inspectors to carry out the inspection of the vehicle. Once complete the PDA is docked synchronised and the completed inspection is sent back to AIS central database for processing. The PDA records the following information: |
